Insurance agents usually represent their individual insurance company, which means their plans have little or no customization and you’re likely paying for some things you don’t need.
Yes, employee contributions are common in most organizations, but it’s up to you how much or how little they contribute. We will help you structure your plan to include the employee contribution you see fit.
Yes, we’ll provide costs for add-ons such as a spouse, children, and other dependents. Those costs can be covered by the employee or a combination of both that fits your needs.
When an employer makes an offer of coverage, employees are not obligated to enroll. If an enrolled employee has alternative insurance options through a spouse or dependent, we will advise on qualifying events to opt-out of coverage.
Yes, we administer COBRA and other individual policy options with our in-house third party administrator, RedQuote. These services can be tailored to match a new or existing benefit program. We follow all federal guidelines in administering COBRA.
If you have 50 or more full-time employees (≥30 hrs/wk), federal rules require an offer of coverage that employees may accept or decline. Failure to offer coverage can result in costly penalties. It’s also important to consider that offering benefits exceeding federal regulations will help you to attract and retain quality employees.
