Meet the team

Joe Berg has thirty years of industry experience. With an emphasis on customer service and claims risk reduction in the fully-insured and self-funded markets, Joe leads the client strategy and compliance segments of our work. Through his knowledge and many carrier relationships, Joe achieves great results in the renewal process for fully-insured and self-funded stop loss products. A dedicated family man he is excited to work along-side his son, Ryan to make Berg Benefits the best benefits solution company in the Pacific Northwest.

Ryan Berg joined Berg Benefits in January, 2018. Since then his favorite part of being in the insurance industry has been leveraging his CPA background to develop innovative strategies to help clients. Ryan is a certified CPA, and holds a NAHU Advance Self-Funding Certification. In his free time Ryan enjoys many outdoor activities including snowboarding, golfing and sailing. When not in the office he spends his time at home with his wife Monica, and their daughters Amarah and Roxanna.

Mary's 17 years of experience in the insurance industry helps cultivate Berg Benefits' reputation of having skilled and knowledgeable benefits advisors. Starting in 2003, Mary has had the opportunity to serve many clients and loves helping employees solve insurance-related issues through creative solutions that save money while still offering great benefits. Mary and her husband, Brad, enjoy spending their free time with their three grandchildren, and one VERY spoiled Scottish Terrier. Watch out on game day, as they are devoted "Hawks" fans, and never miss an opportunity to watch a game as a family.

Bobbie joined the Berg Benefits team in August 2021 and has been in the insurance industry since 1998. She enjoys finding cost-effective benefits solutions for clients, and supporting their employees in navigating their coverage needs. Her passion of advocating for client’s needs makes her a valuable part of the Berg Benefits team. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her partner Tom and two “fur-babies” Sophie and Jack. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and an excellent glass of red wine.

Jaclyn joined the team in 2025 with a background in medical billing and administrative support for healthcare providers. She brings strong attention to detail and enjoys helping others navigate important benefits and healthcare decisions with confidence. At Berg Benefits, Jaclyn serves as the team’s Medicare and claims specialist, helping clients understand coverage, resolve claims issues, and navigate the often-confusing parts of the insurance process with care and patience. Outside of work, she helps manage her husband’s fishing guide business and enjoys spending time outdoors with him, their three daughters, and two puppies.

Cooper joined Berg Benefits in mid-2025 after graduating from the University of Puget Sound summa cum laude. He’s excited to bring his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for helping others into the insurance and benefits industry. In his role, Cooper serves as a Benefits Advisor while also supporting RedQuote’s COBRA clients, helping individuals and businesses navigate benefits questions with confidence and clarity. He enjoys building strong relationships with clients and providing dependable, personalized support along the way. Outside of work, Cooper enjoys spending time in the Puget Sound area hiking, camping, and fishing.

Melissa is the newest member of the Berg Benefits, joining in early 2022. She is excited to bring her years of experience and expertise to the team!

Emily brings over 12 years of creative and marketing experience to Berg Benefits. She joined the team in June 2020, and has a passion to bring both Berg Benefits' and client's needs to life through creative media. New to the insurance industry, her experience as a marketing manager in other industries has given her a fresh perspective on the market, and strives to find unique ways to provide benefits solutions for clients. Emily and her husband Paul enjoy spending their free time with their dog Brutus, traveling, or volunteering at their local church. Her obsession with sci-fi and board games always means she's ready for a good time!
